Farmlands is New Zealand's largest farming co-operative, with over 80,000 shareholder members across the country. In the midst of a brand evolution, they needed a new website to match, one that also addressed an ageing digital presence that was no longer serving its shareholders as well as it should.
The core challenge was simplification. The new site needed to cut through the complexity of a large co-operative and act as a clear gateway to Farmlands' wider digital ecosystem, communicating the value of membership while guiding shareholders through the different platforms and services available to them.
Built on headless technology with Storyblok as the content management system, the platform gives Farmlands the flexibility to evolve without constraint. Deep SEO and AEO best practices were applied throughout, future-proofing Farmlands' discoverability as the way people search continues to shift.
