This website was the culmination of a larger strategic brand project, working closely with key board members. Community Foundations of NZ is the national body for the individual regional Community Foundations all around New Zealand. The Community Foundations’ smarter giving model sees gifts invested to create long term revenue streams for local causes that the donor has the opportunity to specify. It seems simple, but the complexities of this giving model had previously been a challenge to explain and hadn’t taken rightful priority in the hierarchy of messaging. This was a key part of the brand positioning work that also informed the new website.

Through several mediums enabled by the new website, our solution clearly and concisely explains how the organisation works through content hierarchy and userflows to get the right information at the right touch points throughout the site. We’ve created new, fit-for-purpose content aimed at supporting a primary audience of professional advisors (e.g., wealth advisors and lawyers), as well as helping potential donors themselves understand how the model works. The new site also has clearer pathways for people to find their local Community Foundation in order to support better attraction and conversion.
