43° South specialises in grass and forage seed multiplication, representing New Zealand’s best seed growers. While they are part of South Pacific Seeds NZ and wanted to leverage the connection with an established and reputable brand, 43° South needed its own brand identity and website to ensure no confusion with SPSNZ. We created a simple yet effective brochure website for 43° South to support their networking and new business development efforts at international sales conferences and expos.
The website’s design cleverly utilises the brand’s grid design system to section information and imagery, ultimately delivering a bespoke look that elevates what would otherwise be a very straightforward web solution.
The brand’s name is also their geographic location. This inspired the brand’s grid system. Not only the meeting of longitude and latitude lines but the bird’s eye view of Canterbury farmland, sectioned into angular blocks. The grid not only has meaning for the brand, it also serves as a tool for segmenting information on any given collateral. It provides a way to generate many different layout options, that despite being different will all look consistent.
