McKenzie & Willis, a leading home furnishings retailer, aimed to transform their digital presence and boost customer engagement. The new platform delivers a seamless shopping journey by integrating inspirational content, customisable product ranges, and tailored landing pages to improve UX and generate qualified leads. It streamlines operations through full integration with Dynamics 365 Business Central for centralised inventory, pricing, and promotions, while an SEO-first approach enhances organic visibility and ensures smooth content migration with maintained search authority.

Premium modular design

The design reflects McKenzie & Willis’ premium aesthetic—elegant, minimalist, and visually rich. A modular design system combines clean layouts, generous white space, and high-quality imagery to showcase products in a way that mirrors the in-store experience. Interactive elements and intuitive navigation create a seamless journey from inspiration through to purchase, while maintaining a balance between editorial storytelling and e-commerce functionality.

SEO‑first structure and migration

With a key focus on boosting organic online visibility and engagement, we approached the IA and content rich areas with an SEO-first lens. Key areas were strategically structured from the outset so they aligned with best practices for on-page SEO to drive intent-based search, and technical SEO for enhanced organic search results. Driving more organic traffic starts with maintaining SEO authority and requires meticulously managing redirects for a smooth content migration and go-live process.

Headless commerce stack

A headless e-commerce and CMS setup combines Shopify with Storyblok for flexible content management. Klaviyo personalises customer journeys, while Shopify’s Oxygen hosting ensures a lightning-fast, globally optimised experience with edge hosting, caching, and server-side rendering.
